Martin Clarke & Heather Harrison are a winning team

Martin and Heather first started broadcasting together in 2010 with a popular blues show for a community radio station based in Surrey.

​

Heather trained with Radio City in Liverpool and assisted with some programmes on Radio Jackie 107.8 in southwest London. She spent a year heading up the programme control team on a local radio station in Bucks. Heather both produced and co-presented the Blues Session, the Roots Collective and Classics Count and had a big impact on the music and style of the shows.  Heather’s passion for live music spills over into radio and she previously organised many live sessions and guests including interviews with musicians and conductors, connecting with local bands and orchestras.

Martin is a BJTC accredited broadcast journalist who trained with the National Broadcasting School based with Radio City in Liverpool. His music show the Blues Session, earned him a national radio gold award for Specialist Music in 2010 and he was twice nominated in the British Blues Awards as independent broadcaster. Martin has a love of all music. His passion for bluegrass, Americana and country saw him present the Roots Collective for five years. He then changed direction to follow his love of classical music and with a focus of promoting local, live events he went on to present Classics Count for three years.

Martin and Heather joined multi-award winning Wycombe Sound 106.6 in September 2018 and the following year won Gold in the Community Radio Awards for best specialist music show and were finalists in 2024.

​

​With a move to Hertfordshire’s Mix 92.6 in December 2025, Martin and Heather can now be heard broadcasting live every Sunday between 2pm and 4pm with the History Mix. Choosing a month and year from the 70s, 80s and 90s they play the hits and share the events to evoke memories.
